June 14, 2025
Time: 2:30pm -7:00pm Location: Headingly Stadium
Details of the Event
Our very own rugby league team, the Leeds Rhinos, have created a challenge badge especially for us!
From 2.30pm the Girlguiding Leeds County Adventure Team will be providing activities in the stadium alongside those provided by the Rhinos. These will include face painting, badge making and an opportunity to meet Ronnie the Rhino.
This will be followed at 4.30pm by a presentation of badges and a parade of flags on the pitch (units will need to bring their own flags) before watching the rugby match, which starts at 5.00pm and will finish at approximately 7:00pm. The rugby match will be Leeds Rhinos v. Warrington Wolves.
We are also hoping to have a short film of units completing the challenge badge, which will be shown on the big screen beside the pitch.
How to buy tickets
You can attend as a unit, offer the opportunity for young members to attend with their families or do a combination of the two. Everyone will have the option to choose either seated or standing tickets for the rugby match. The Rhinos are keen to welcome family members to see the girls receive their badges and take part in the parade on the pitch, as well as watch the rugby match. They are offering tickets to families at a discounted rate for this. This is also the rate for any young members attending with their family rather than with their unit.
To attend as a unit, the prices are as follows:
Standing tickets – FREE. However, you will need to ensure you have a higher ratio of adults to children than usual. For Rainbows and Brownies, you will need 1 adult: 2 children.
Seated tickets – £13 per child, free adult ticket per 10 children, £18 additional adults.
For a young member and her family to attend, the prices are as follows:
Standing tickets – families – £12.50 (adults), £10 (concessions), £6.50 (children).
Seated tickets – families – £16 (adults), £13.50 (concessions), £10 (children)
How to make a reservation and order tickets
In order for the Rhinos to reserve sufficient standing and seating room for the event we need to provide them with provisional numbers as soon as possible. If you would like to attend the event as a unit and/or are passing this opportunity on to families, please complete this EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FORM by Sunday 2 March .
Tickets will need to be purchased directly from the Rhinos, but they will be providing us with a promo code to pass onto you and families for when you book.
