There are a number of Girlguiding and Girlguiding North East England awards which may be presented to members and recognised volunteers in recognition of meritorious conduct, outstanding and excellent service, and long service.
National Girlguiding awards:
- Hero award – for members or friends of Girlguiding who have done something special.
- Guiding star award – for exceptional young members of Girlguiding, aged up to 19.
- Silver Fish award – to recognise what a member has achieved across the breadth of Girlguiding.
- Laurel award – celebrates exceptional service.

Regional Girlguiding awards:
- Chief Commissioner’s award – to reward an active member or young person who deserves recognition for something special.
- Crown award – for any exceptional member of Girlguiding NEE between the ages of 5 and 18, who exemplifies the Guide Laws in all aspects of their everyday life.

- Thanks badge – given to members and non-members as a sign of appreciation for their support.
- Good service brooch – given to adult members for excellent service to guiding.
- Long service awards – given to adult members who volunteer regularly for 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 years and awarded by Divisions or by County.
