Do you know someone who deserves an award?
At Girlguiding Leeds we want to thank all our volunteers for their contribution to guiding – it’s an important way to make sure people stay with us.
Awards are a wonderful way to celebrate the achievements of members and recognised volunteers in your team. You can use an award to recognise commendable conduct, outstanding and excellent service, and long service.
In Girlguiding Leeds we have our own county awards (recognition pins) which are:
- Inspiring Volunteer Award – for someone who has inspired others through their enthusiasm.
- Personal Achiever – for someone who has shown personal growth by developing their skills.
- Growth Award – for someone who has made an important contribution to growing guiding.
In addition to each award criteria, all nominees should have demonstrated adherence to Girlguiding’s Volunteers’ Code of Conduct.
Our Awards Committee meet three times a year in March, July and November to consider nominations for county awards.
So, if you know someone whose contribution or achievement could be recognised and you would like some advice, please contact your Division commissioner or the County Awards Committee Chair – recognition@girlguidingleeds.org.uk
