Children and young people's mental health is a critical aspect of their overall well-being, impacting their ability to learn, socialise, and navigate the challenges of growing up.
The training is designed for all volunteers to understanding common mental health disorders, behavioural changes, and risk factors. The training will share ideas on how creating a space where young people feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns along with effective communication strategies that encourage children and young people to express their feelings and thoughts. By the end of the training all volunteers understand collaboration among various professionals, including educators, healthcare providers, and mental health specialists and were to go for support and resources.
This course will be hosted on Zoom. Don't worry if you have not used this before, we have some resources to help you. In order for us to support you as best as we can please think about your surroundings, find somewhere quiet, make your own refreshments and arrange childcare if needed.
