The Girlguiding programme gives us lots to do with our units, but we’re always looking for new ways of doing things – or simply something a bit different for a change. On this page we are creating list of activities you can do in your unit meeting place and people you can invite to attend unit meetings to carry out an activity.
We will continue to add to this list when we come across something new. If you have any great ideas to share with other leaders, please contact us on resources@girlguidingleeds.org.uk and we’ll add it to the list.

Teddy Bear Hospital (Rainbows & Brownies ) [Free]
Teddy Bear Hospital is a fun voluntary project run by students, working with young people. We aim to promote healthy living and alleviate concerns about hospitals and doctors through fun activities and play. The children have the opportunity to be doctors to their teddy bear patients.
Our team of volunteer students from the University of Leeds run health education workshops at primary schools, Beavers and Brownies groups across West Yorkshire. The workshops last for approximately an hour and consist of around six volunteer-led teaching stations that children rotate around. These cover a variety of health-related topics in fun and interactive ways, including CPR, surgery, anatomy, health eating and dentistry.
