We have a county-wide initiative to recruit more volunteers.

We know that for it to be a success, we need volunteer teams on the ground to help us spread the word about how rewarding and fun volunteering with Girlguiding is.

We have created a Quick Start Guide and a range of other materials which are available to members and we have signposted more that can be accessed from the Girlguiding website.

We have ideas for volunteer roles, flexible guiding and even ideas for getting parents involved.  If you have any other great ideas of how to volunteer please do let us know.

Volunteer recruitment posters

Available from the County office are posters to help recruit adult volunteers across all sections.  Pop the posters up at your local shop, doctor’s surgery, community hall, etc and wait for the calls to come flooding in!

Top Transitions

The following post cards can be used to help leaders encourage girls to transition to the next Section. We have one available for rainbows to brownies, brownies to guides, guides to rangers, and for young leaders turning 18.

Social Media Toolkit

Welcome to the Girlguiding Leeds county social media toolkit! This toolkit has been created to help you make the most out of your social media presence and engage with your community online. It is a work in progress, and we will be adding more and more content all the time, so please do keep checking back for updates.

Social media is an important part of today’s world and it can be a powerful tool for Girlguiding. By using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, you can reach out to potential members, keep current members informed and engaged, and promote your local events and activities.
