Robin Hole House
The house comprises of a large hall, kitchen, downstairs leaders’ room, upstairs bunk room and toilet and shower facilities. The house can sleep up to 22 children and four adults.
Kitchen: A large fully equipped kitchen with a good quality domestic electric cooker with six top rings and fridge-freezer. Cutlery and crockery provided for 30 people.
Hall: This large versatile space, featuring a large open fireplace, has tables and chairs for dining and activities.
Leaders’ Room: Sleeps four people in one room in two single beds and one double bunk. Storage drawers are provided and there is a telephone in this room. Blankets are provided.
Toilets and showers: There are two washrooms, each with three toilets, one shower and four hand basins. There is also a washroom with toilet, shower and hand basin equipped for disabled users.
Bunk Room: The bunk room sleeps 22 in bunk beds. Each bed has an attached storage box and a blanket.
Robin Hole Campsite
There is a lower and upper camping area, both able to accommodate groups of 30 each.
Campers will have access to the purpose-built camping shelter, which contains space for two toilets and a store room with a fridge and kettle.
There are two taps on the campsite, as well as an outside tap on the end of the house. All water on the site is safe to drink.
All parts of the site have concrete bases for fires and there is often a supply of wood available.
Tents and camping equipment are available to hire. Basic cooking equipment is also available upon request. Please enquire when booking.
Activities
Whether you want to go walking on Ilkley Moor (Level Two Walking Qualification required), climbing at the famous Cow and Calf Rocks, swimming at the local outdoor swimming pool or practise your archery skills, Robin Hole is the ideal place for your stay.
The towns of Ilkley and Otley are close by, whilst Bradford, Harrogate and Leeds are within easy travelling distance (train stations are located in both Burley and Ilkley). There are numerous places of interest, catering for most tastes, within the surrounding area.
On site activities:
Trim trail – situated in the grounds.
Climbing Roktagon – large climbing feature available in the grounds.
Archery – available 1 April – 31 October, please enquire when booking.
Glass sledges – 4 sledges for hire – £25 for each session – hire through RHBookings@girlguidingleeds.org.uk
Off site activities:
Horse riding – riding schools at both Ilkley and nearby Otley.
Swimming – indoor and outdoor pools in Ilkley.
Walking – level 2 Walking Scheme qualification required for Ilkley Moor.
Castles and Abbeys – at nearby Skipton and Bolton Abbey.
